- Image 2 Preparing your drive and Tee positioning when setting up Extend tee from Yurty housing, leaving sufficient cord length (300+ mm). The cord should not be extended beyond the highlighted mark.
- Image 3 Positioning Unit Place the Yurty housing opposite to the user’s stance ensuring that the Yurty housing lies in the corresponding area directly in front of the Golfers stance as per the image. The housing must not be laid to indicate the line of play; it should be laid opposite the player’s stance.
- Image 4 Teeing off (Step 1) Ensure that the tee and tip are tightly closed before use and that the o-ring/ washer is between the tee and tee tip. Make sure that the cord is completely flat, straight, and free of coils or loops as per the following image. (Step 2) Check that there is sufficient clear space around you to avoid causing danger to others.
- Image 5 Post-shot retraction of the golf tee Retract the tee in the Yurty housing slowly using both hands holding the main housing in one hand, and the tee in the other hand, then press the ball marker on the Yurty housing and the cord will begin to retract, allow your hand to move with the Golf Tee in the direction of the main housing. Do not recoil the tee above hip level or near the eyes. Note To protect the Yurty housing internal spring mechanism, before retracting the tee to the main housing, please make sure that the tee and cord are free from debris including soil/ grass/ sand, or other debris.
- Image 6 Repairing Pitch Marks The pitch-mark repairer is swivel-operated and has an arrow pointing in the direction of opening it. When inserting the pitch-mark repairer in the ground hold the pitch-mark repairer to ensure fingers or nails cannot get injured or damaged. Hold the metal repairer between the thumb and forefinger and gently push the inserted pitch mark repairer away from you. Always use the recommended way to use the pitch repairer. Do not lever down on the housing as it can damage it.
- Image 7 Practice Use For practice use, you can also use the pitch-mark repairer as a fixed anchor, although it is not necessary, however, you cannot do this in competitions.
- Image 8 Marking your ball Position Yurty has a magnetic ball marker that you can use for marking where your ball is on the green.
Recommendations
- Yurty is not a toy. Do not use Yurty for any purpose other than as outlined in this Yurty manual.
- Always ensure that the driving tee is tightly screwed onto the tee tip before use.
- Inspect Yurty each time before using it to ensure that it is not damaged or defective in any way and the cord has not become frayed. Do not use if damaged in any way.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Do not attempt to open Yurty it contains no serviceable items.
- Yurty does not require a lubricant so do not use any.
- When changing the driving tee, extend it sufficiently to be able to unscrew the driving tee from the tee tip, and take care to not accidentally press the recoil button when the driving tee is not connected to the tee tip. If the driving tee does not unscrew from the tip easily, the inside section of the pitch mark repairer can be used as an anchor point for the tee tip so that the tee can be easily unscrewed from the tip. Ensure not to remove the rubber washer from the thread when replacing the tee.
- Always clean Yurty immediately after use. Use a damp sponge on the cord and then dry. In wet weather conditions dry the Yurty cord with a cloth after use.
- Troubleshooting In case of jamming, check if Yurty is free of extraneous material. This should be cleared in a manner that does not impact the working parts or damage the cord. Do not use any sharp metal objects, such as scissors, letter openers etc. in an attempt to clear the blockage as this is likely to damage the cord, the spring, or the housing.
