The idea for Yurty Golf didn't come from a design studio or a boardroom—it came from standing on the first tee, watching time disappear. It was a fourball. All of us armed with expensive drivers. The first golfer stepped up, hand in pocket, spilled a handful of tees onto the ground, picked them up, dropped them again, nearly repeated the process, and eventually found his favorite tee. He chose his spot, changed his mind, reset, planted the tee, placed the ball… 40 seconds gone. After the shot, he went searching for the tee. He found it. One minute gone. His partner repeated the entire performance. Then my partner lost his tee and absolutely refused to move on until it was recovered.

By the time I hit my drive, three minutes had passed, and the longest ball so far had travelled about 80 yards. After the turn, the same theatre continued on the green: "Anyone got a marker?" And pitch mark repairs? Well… let's just say they were optional.

Standing there, it became painfully clear that golf wasn't broken—golfers were just wasting time. Not because they wanted to, but because the tools available to them were inadequate. A golfer's tee gets lost in the grass. A golfer's marker gets left behind. A golfer's divot goes unrepaired. These aren't character flaws; they're design failures.

That's when we decided to fix golf. Not the swing, not the rules, not the etiquette—just the small, everyday frustrations that add up to wasted time and lost enjoyment. We set out to create products that solve real problems for real golfers, designed with the understanding that every second counts when you're on the course.
